Mountains are supposed to be climbed
What are you up against right now? What mountain are you trying to climb?
If you've just overcome a small barrier in your life, and feel like the roadway is clear, that's awesome, but there is also another hurdle coming your way.
Sometimes those hurdles aren't small things we can simply jump over, sometimes they are massive mountains that require us to work. Along the way we'll sometimes stumble and fall short of what we were looking to achieve.
And if this is you, I have some advice for you, smile, embrace it and keep moving forward regardless of the setback.
This might sound like someone who lacks empathy or emotion, however, tell me what good would wallowing and feeling sorry for yourself do? Yes you've had a setback, but if you still have air in your lungs then you can still keep moving forward.
You can choose to continue to climb the mountain in front of you.
Yes you're going to be labelled, but so what, some might consider it cold, but I would call it focused and determined. The alternative is quitting and that isn't an option.
Many of our the successful innovations of the 21st century didn't succeed on the first try.
Multiple iterations of a product, service were created before the final product went to market, and if you believe during that process there weren't failures, then you are categorically wrong.
Failures and setbacks are how we learn, grow, and come back stronger.
There is nothing stopping you from climbing a mountain, figuratively or in reality. Mountains are supposed to be climbed.
So whatever mountain you're facing in your life today, keep going. The peak is waiting and the view from the top is going to be worth every moment.
